A few months back: We entered a contest given by Christina Molina Events.
Part of the entry was to include how we meat: && here is what we sent && to our luck:: We won! We are so excited to have Christina as our DOC!!! ( this was our story entry )
Miguel & I meat 2 1/2 years ago. I started working at a Toyota Dealership in May, 2006, a month later this guy, with a smile that made me blush, started working for the Sales Dept. I was the Receptionist/Cashier for the Service Dept. He introduced himself to me on his first day of work. As the days went by, we would make small talk, and little by little we started to get to know each other. In one of our 5 minute quick conversations, we both learned that our parents were both from the same state of Mexico, Zacatecas to be exact, he was/is the youngest of 3, I was the oldest of 3, he had 2 older sisters, while I had 2 younger brothers. Everyday, I looked forward to those daily 5 minute conversations we had. He had asked for my phone number, but I hesitated on giving it to him. I wasn't the girl that gave her number to just anyone. So, the 5 minute conversations continued, sharing the Break room occasionally, and getting to know each other. In a short period of time, Miguel had me thinking of him, and wanting to get to know him more & more. In August, 2006, we went out on our first date ( yes, I eventually gave him my phone number =} ). Things between us grew fast! It felt like we had either known each other for years, or as if together we just completed that emptiness we didn't even knew existed within us. On November 8Th, 2006 we became an official couple. Eight months into our relationship, we had already discussed our future plans, what we wanted in life independently, and together. We both saw one another in each others future. July 8th, 2007, on our 8th monthly-versary <3, Miguel Proposed me. I wish I could sit here, and type away this amazing proposal story, and it was... for ME. Miguel took me to his high school parking lot, where we would go before or after dinner to walk around and see the 60 Fwy car lights, or see the Downtown L.A buildings from afar. He put his car in park, & I remember asking him, " Why did you bring me here?, I am hungry, can we go eat..... Now?". He just told me to give him a minute.. for a bit, to close my eyes, and think about why I love him. He then hold my left hand, and I now recall his hands shaking, he held my hand, kissed it, and he let me know why he loved me. I couldn't help but smile. He then, let go my hand, told me to open my eyes, I looked left, then down to his hands. He was holding this Ivory Suede box, opened it, and asked me to be in his life forever... as his wife! I smiled, cried, kissed him, and before I said yes I said... " I dont think that is going to fit me!" He laughed, and said, that would be the least of the problems, and to just accept his proposal... Of course, I said Yes, yes, yes!!! I jinxed myself, the ring did not fit. It was a bit small, but still decided to wear it that night for dinner =) For others, it might not be the most unique, or creative proposal, but for me, it is the day that the Man that I wanted in my life forever, confirmed to me and let me know, that he wanted to share the rest of his life with me, together..
